Bayview Entertainment Has Revealed That Director Alan Mak's The Procurator Will Be Making Its Domestic Blu-ray Debut On Apr. 16

Bayview Entertainment has scored the domestic distribution rights to director Alan Mak’s intense courtroom thriller, The Procurator.   A Blu-ray edition will be available on Apr. 16.

Mak’s film opened overseas in late April of 2023, had a limited theatrical showcase in June of last year and then, despite rave reviews, dropped out of sight.  

So unless you were lucky enough to catch it theatrically in one of the major metro markets where it played (ARR works to 298 days), the Apr. 16 Blu-ray release from Bayview Entertainment might be your only chance to watch this intricate murder trail … where nothing is quite as it seems!!!

Without giving too much away, we launch into the trail of a professor by the name of Xia Wei (Wang Likun — as Hua in the Infernal Affairs series), who is accused of killing a shifty businessman, Chen Xin.   As we discover, he may have been involved in the rape of one her students, who subsequently committed suicide (hello, motive).
