Mill Creek Entertainment
has added six new DVD collections to its Mar. 18 release calendar … all six new
additions to an already business release slate are double-disc sets that are being
released under the “TV Guide Spotlight” promotional banner.
Each collection features
six or more hours worth of programming and these SKUs are priced to collect at
just $9.98 each (and that’s before discounts at your retailer of choice).
There are two for kids: TV
Guide Spotlight: Super Action Animation and TV Guide Spotlight: Totally '80s
Toons, which are the equivalent of a 20-episode smorgasbord of popular
animated kidvids for the little ones to enjoy.
Fox example, TV
Guide Spotlight: Super Action Animation includes three episodes of Jayce
and The Wheeled Warriors, three more showcasing Where on Earth is Carmen San
Diego and three adventures featuring Liberty's Kids (plus nine
more episodes from other popular series).
The other four SKUs in
this promotional series are variously titled: TV Guide Spotlight: Cop Shows of
the '70s (a ten episode sampler), TV Guide Spotlight: Great Comedies of the
'90s (20 episodes, include two each from The Larry Sanders Show, The
Jeff Foxworthy Show and Just Shoot Me!), TV
Guide Spotlight: Groundbreaking Sitcoms of the '70s (a 20 episode selection)
and TV
Guide Spotlight: Leading Ladies of Classic Comedy (also 20 episodes
that includes four each from such TV sitcoms as Bewitched, I
Dream of Jennie and The Flying Nun.
