Just when you thought
that it couldn’t get any better, it suddenly did. Eagle Rock Entertainment announced this past
week that a six-disc, four-concert mega collection of all-things Queen has been
added to its Nov. 19 release calendar.
At the core of the
collection is the new-to-DVD release of Queen: Live in Rio, a 16 number set
filmed live in front of 250,000 fans during the Rock in Rio Festival in January
of 1985.
Teaming with Queen:
Live in Rio are both sell-out concerts featured in the Queen:
Live at Wembley Stadium 25th Anniversary Edition (a 27-song
extravaganza), the 1981 Queen: Rock Montreal concert (a
26-song set) and the 1982 live concert, Queen: On Fire – Live at the Bowl
(which comes loaded with a bonus disc featuring additional performances in both
Tokyo and Vienna as part of the “Hot Space” tour).
When you add it all up,
fans of Freddy Mercury and Queen get ten solid hours worth of entertainment!
Also added to the release
calendar on Nov. 19 and DVD and Blu-ray editions of Cliff Richard: ''Still Reelin'
And A-Rockin'. Filmed lived in
Sydney, Australia earlier this year, this 28 song set features the likes of “Willie
And The Hand Jive,” “Singing The Blues,” “Reelin' & Rockin',” “Devil Woman”
and “The Young Ones.”
Bonus features include a
behind-the-scenes documentary.
