Breaking Glass Pictures
has added documentary filmmaker Dan Hunt’s Mr. Angel to its Dec. 3 DVD release
calendar.
Mr. Angel was filmed over a seven year period and the
result is a riveting look at the life of Buck Angel, a former fashion model, an
award-winning actor in the adult film industry and a transgender rights
advocate. One look at Buck Angel — a
buff, shaved-headed tattooed hulk — and you might be surprised to learn that
“he” was born female and has not undergone any surgical alterations.
Interviews with industry
colleagues, including Jenna Jameson and Ron Jeremy, plus Buck Angel’s wife,
Elayne Angel — a professional body piercer and modification artist — are
included in Hunt’s feature-length documentary.
Bonus features include
deleted scenes and two featurettes — “Reflections from Buck’s Colleagues” and
“Reflections from Buck’s Family” — and a photo gallery.
