Universal Pictures Home
Entertainment looks to the 10th of April as the street date for
director Aaron Sorkin’s biopic, Molly’s Game, based on the tell-all
by Molly Bloom, “Molly's Game: The True Story of the 26-Year-Old Woman Behind
the Most Exclusive, High-Stakes Underground Poker Game in the World” (now,
that’s a mouthful).
The ARR works out to 106
days and domestic box office receipts currently stand at $25.9 million.
Jessica Chastain stars as
Molly Bloom, an aspiring Olympic skier who has a career-ending injury and makes
the unlikely transition into the world (over a number of years) of managing
high-stakes poker games. She’s good at
it, the players like the games she runs … but eventually all good things must
come to an end!!!
The only bonus nugget is a
production featurette titled “Building an Empire.”
