20th Century-Fox Home Entertainment has
selected Feb. 18 for the home entertainment launch of writer/director Taika
Waititi’s film adaptation of Christine Leunens's 2008 novel, “Caging Skies,”
which was released theatrically as Jojo Rabbit.
There will be single-disc DVD and Blu-ray SKUs as
well as a 4K Ultra HD/Blu-ray Combo Pack edition available for consumers to
choose from on Feb. 18.
That mid-February street date yields an ARR of 123
days and box office receipts have slowly grown to $24 million.
Word of mouth, coupled with the six Oscar
nominations — including Best Picture, Best Adapted Screenplay for
actor-turned-filmmaker Taika Waititi (Thor:
Ragnarok, What We Do in the Shadows) and
a Best Supporting Actress nomination for Scarlett Johansson (ironically, she is
also nominated for Best Actress for her performance in Marriage
Story) — could eventually get the film to the box
office level that it deserves.
Bonus features, which are limited to the Blu-ray and
4K Ultra HD editions, include commentary from Taika Waititi, deleted scenes,
outtakes and the featurette titled “Inside Jojo Rabbit.”
