Blue Underground, with sales and distribution expertise provided by MVD Entertainment Group, has set long-lead, return-to-market street dates for two of its previously released Blu-ray/DVD Combo Pack film restoration presentations.
Aug. 23 will be the release date for both stand-alone DVD and stand-alone Blu-ray editions of director Lee Frost’s 1969 sexploitation, women in prison (Nazi-sexploitation) flick, Love Camp 7 (originally, Jan. 2017) and director Ferdinando Baldi’s 1975 Spaghetti Western, Get Mean (originally, Oct. 2015).
Love Camp 7, which was a new 4K film restoration from an unearthed camera negative, includes the featurette titled “Nazithon: Decadence and Destruction.”
Get Mean, was a 2K film restoration from the original camera negative and it comes loaded with extras, including commentary from its star, Tony Anthony (A Stranger in Town, The Stranger Returns, The Silent Stranger), who is joined by writer/actor Lloyd Battista (Chisum, Last Plane Out) and executive producer Ronnie Schneider (Gimme Shelter), deleted scenes, and a quartet of featurettes — “The Story of the Stranger,” “Looking for Richard,” “Beating a Dead Horse” and “Tony & I.”
