This is a three-disc collection, featuring a 4K Ultra HD restoration of the original theatrical cut of the film on the 4K disc, which also includes documentary filmmaker Daniel Griffith’s 2018 feature-length film, Maelstrom: The Odyssey of Waterworld, plus two featurettes — “Dances with Waves” and “Global Warnings.”
The first of two companion Blu-ray discs contains the extended domestic television cut of the film, which clocks in at an additional 40 minutes in running time.
The other Blu-ray disc in the Waterworld “Limited Edition” collection from Arrow Video on June 27 is a presentation of the European “Ulysses” cut of the film.
