Universal Pictures Home Entertainment will be
releasing both DVD and Blu-ray/DVD Combo Pack editions of director Floria
Sigismondi’s The Turning,
starring Mackenzie Davis (Tully, Terminator: Dark Fate, Blade
Runner 2049), on Apr. 21.
The ARR comes in at 88 days and domestic box office
receipts for this troubled film adaptation of Henry James’ “The Turn of the
Screw” were disappointing at just $15.5 million. The film began production, ceased production
and then a new director came on board … finishing the film in 2018, where it
languished in the can for over a year before getting a 2,500 screen push in
January of this year.
Bonus features include deleted scenes, the
featurette titled “Behind The Turning” and an alternate ending (which will
certainly be of interest).
