Bayview Entertainment announced this past week a six-strong slate of martial arts-themed DVD releases that will be ready for delivery on Nov. 3.
With many gyms, fitness, dojo and training facilities closed as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, DVD learning systems are an attractive alternative and Bayview just might have the answers to martial arts training questions with these instructional lessons and insights.
So here we go … the DVD release titled Kyusho-Jitsu: Triple Warmer is presented by Jean-Paul Bindel, a 50-year martial arts practitioner who specializes in an amazing 15 different disciplines. For the past 15 years he has had his focus on Kyusho Jitsu and with this session he takes a look at the Triple Warmer defensive technique.
Bindel is back again in the instructional DVD titled Kyusho-Jitsu Self Defense, which moves between classroom training and various scenarios to examples in the real world.
Next up is the DVD release of Kickboxing Champion Techniques: Peter Sugarfoot Cunningham, which features unbeaten and six-times world champion professional kickboxer Peter “Sugarfoot” Cunningham as he teaches his “unique” style during a series of seminars in Germany. Not only is Cunningham a renown martial arts expert, but he has also showcased his skills in feature films featuring the likes of Cynthia Rothrock, Jean Claude van Damme and David Carradine … among others.
The next two DVD releases in this group on Nov. 3 from Bayview Entertainment are titled Legends Kickboxing Techniques: Joe Lewis the Golden Boy and Legends Kickboxing Techniques: Bernie Willems. Joe “The Golden Boy” Lewis, the first World Heavyweight Professional Kickboxing Champion, and kickboxing legend Bernie Willems, respectively showcase their unique styles, which have also been presented in various feature films over the years.
And finally, we have The Way of Kubotan: Self-Defense for Beginners, featuring Peer Kaufmann and the use of the Kubotan, a pen-shaped self-defense weapon that is used as part of Kubudo, ATK, Ju-Jutsu, Krav Maga and Modern Arnis martial arts disciplines.
