Bayview Entertainment has a Halloween-season viewing treat lined up for release on DVD this coming Oct. 26. This is writer/director Ben Dixon’s Old Habits Die Hard.
Allison Hollis (Stacey Dixon — Shudder, Death Breed) is a gifted graphic artist who wants to make something of her life. She’s been hard at work with the illustration of a graphic novel and she figures she might have a ticket out if she can get her work published. Failing that, perhaps her skill-set might land her employment as a graphic designer … either way, she wants out.
It seems that her family, hard-workers one and all, are serial killers. They are not on the run, they are not moving around hunting for their next victim. Nope, they run a nice family business and are also part of the local law enforcement … the victims come to them, one way or another.
Jonah (Kane Hodder — Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood, Pumpkinhead II: Blood Wings) and Mama Hollis (Tricia Cast) run the Hollis Mortuary, upstanding pillars of the community. That’s when they are not grave-robbing or drumming up business … a little extra on the side. Sheriff Jimmy (Roger Hewlett) contributes when the opportunities arise. Yup, it’s a regular serial-killing enterprise.
Did we mention that Allison’s inspiration for her “comic book” is what she has seen over the years … a regular horror tale, graphic, bloody and very, very creative!! Do you think that might be a problem?
