Liberation Hall Selects Jan. 14 For The DVD Debut Of Chicago Blues Reunion

Liberation Hall, with sales and distribution support provided by MVD Entertainment Group, looks to Friday, Jan. 14, as the DVD release date for The Chicago Blues Reunion.

Six Blues icons, Barry Goldberg (a Bob Dylan confederate, he wrote the Gladys Nights and the Pips classic, “Got to Use My Imagination”), Corky Siegel (master of the Blues Harp), Nick Gravenites (wrote “Born in Chicago” and the Janis Joplin hit, “Buried in the Blues”), Harvey Mandel, Gary Mallaber and Rick Reed, came together to form The Chicago Blues Reunion.

They performed live at the Park West Theatre 2010 and that concert was captured on film for this one-of-a-kind DVD releases.

The set that night feature 14 classic Blues numbers … these are: “Buried Alive In the Blues,” “Born In Chicago,” “Lay Down Sally, “Freak of Dawn,” “I’ve Got to Use My Imagination,” “I Want You,” Wang Dang Doodle,” “Dust My Blues,” “All Along the Watchtower,” “Feeling Alright,” “Fantasy World,” Cry to Me,” “Killing Floor” and “Drinking Wine.”
