Paramount Home Entertainment looks the New Year with the home entertainment package media launch on Feb. 1 of director Walt Becker’s CGI family fun comedy, Clifford the Big Red Dog.
Heading home with be DVD and Blu-ray editions.
The ARR is 81 days and theatrical turnstiles clicked to the tune of $47.7 million.
Based on Norman Bridwell’s popular series of children’s books, middle school student Emily Elizabeth Howard (Darby Camp — as Kate in The Christmas Chronicles series, and as Frankie in the 2018 Benji remake) gets a homeless puppy, which she names Clifford, with the caveat that it will grow in size based on how much love the little guy receives. And boy, does it!!
Bonus features, which are exclusive to the Blu-ray SKU, include deleted scenes and a quartet of featurettes — “Part of the Pack,” “Acting is for the Dogs,” “The Magic of Bridwell” and “Tips & Tricks for Taking Care of a Ten-Foot Dog.”
