Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has tabbed Nov. 15 for the home entertainment packed media launch of director George Miller’s ambitious film adaptation of A.S. Byatt’s 1994 short story, “The Djinn in the Nightingale's Eye,” which was retailed for the screen as Three Thousand Years of Longing.
Starring Idris Elba and Tilda Swinton, Three Thousand Years of Longing will be a full-spread home entertainment launch, featuring Combo Pack editions for both the 4K Ultra HD (with Blu-ray) and Blu-ray (with DVD) formats, plus a stand-along DVD edition.
The ARR comes in at 81 days and box office receipts were a little light at just $8.2 million (we fully expect several nominations in the craft categories come Oscar time).
Also heading home in November are three-disc Blu-ray and three-disc DVD collections of Westworld: Season 4 – The Choice. The street date is Nov. 29.
All eight episodes are featured here. Bonus features include a quartet of production featurettes — “Westworld on the Road,” “Westworld: An Exploration of Humanity,” “Westworld’s Temperance: A Set Tour” and “Creating Westworld’s Reality.”
