Director Julius Avery's The Pope's Exorcist Arrives As DVD And Blu-ray Editions From Sony Pictures Home Entertainment On June 13

DVD & Blu-ray Release Report, Ralph Tribbey
Sony Pictures Home Entertainment announced this past week that director Julius Avery’s The Pope’s Exorcist, starring Russell Crowe, will be making the transition from theatrical venues to the home entertainment packaged media marketplace on June 13.

The ARR comes in at 60 days.   Ticket sales currently stand at $19.9 million.

Planned for release are stand-alone DVD and Blu-ray editions.

The files of Father Gabriele Amorth (Crowe), an actual exorcist for the Vatican from 1986 to 2000 … by the time he retired he had performed over 30,000 exorcisms.   Most were not the kind one might think of as less than one hundred were of the rock-em, sock’em sort covered in films like The Exorcist.

Bonus features are two featurettes — “Introducing Father Amorth” and “What Possessed You?”
