Arrow Video, with domestic sales and distribution support provided by MVD Entertainment Group, has a new 4K Ultra HD edition of director Hideo Nakata’s Dark Water ready for genre fans to dive into on Mar. 19.
The DVD edition arrived way back in June of 2005 (one month before director Walter Salles 2005 remake with Jennifer Connelly) and Arrow Video broke the ice with a Blu-ray presentation in the fall of 2016, but now we have the ultimate, a newly-minted 4K presentation … if this horror creep-out is not in your collection, that can all change on Mar. 19.
Bonus delights include vintage video sessions with actors Hitomi Kuroki (Yoshimi) and Asami Mizukawa (Ikuko), plus songwriter Shikao Suga, the original making-of documentary and three featurettes — “Ghosts, Rights and Water,” “Family Terrors” and “Visualizing Horror.”
Dark Water is presented in Japanese with English subtitles.
