Sony Pictures Home Entertainment will be serving up a full spread of writer/director Gil Kenan’s Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire in a tight announcement window on June 25.
The ARR comes in at 95 days and the domestic box office haul currently stands at $112.7 million.
Planned for release are Combo Pack editions for both the 4K Ultra HD (with Blu-ray) and Blu-ray (with DVD) formats, plus a stand-alone DVD purchasing option.
The film opened Mar. 22, the VOD window appeared on May 7, 46 days after the theatrical launch … and, of course, “Helper” Blu-ray editions materialized within hours. The pre-launch marketplace has had seven full weeks to deliver physical media products to unsuspecting consumers (or those who simply don’t know care about the source).
As to bonus features, director Gil Kenan provides commentary, there are deleted and extended scenes and seven featurettes — “Easter Eggs Unleashed,” “Manifesting Garraka,” “New York, New Gear,” “Welcome to the Paranormal Discovery Center,” “Knowing the Score,” “Return to the Firehouse: Making Ghostbusters Frozen Empire” and “Buster: Capturing the Ghosts of Frozen Empire.”
