Warner Bros. Discovery Home Entertainment Will Celebrate The 30th Anniversary Of Friends With The Sept. 24 4K Ultra HD Release Of Friends: The Complete Series

It was a TV series announcement week for Warner Bros. Discovery Home Entertainment with a long lead for Friends: The Complete Series as a 4K Ultra HD collection on Sept. 24 and a tight turn around for Welcome Back, Kotter: The Complete Collection on June 11.

First, Friends: The Complete Series, marking its 30th anniversary with this 4K Ultra HD launch, which will be a 25-disc set featuring all 236 episodes.

A Blu-ray collection (21 discs) was launch ten years ago to mark the 20th anniversary of the series and included among the “20 hours of bonus features” the likes of a gag reel, clips from the cast on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” and “The Tonight Show,” The Rembrandts’ music video “I’ll Be There for You” and featurettes … “Friends from the Start,” “Legacy of Friends,” etc.

These vintage bonuses are included here, plus two new hours of unspecified (at this time) bonus features.

As to Welcome Back, Kotter: The Complete Collection, this is a re-launch of the series on DVD by Warner Bros.    Shout! Factory, under a licensing deal, distributed the series on DVD ten years ago (Aug. 26, 2014) … welcome back, welcome back, welcome back!!
