Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment Targets Sept. 10 For The Physical Media Roll Out Of Director Kelsey Mann's Inside Out 2

One of the bright spots — in a year that continues to see weakness in the theatrical marketplace — has been director Kelsey Mann’s animated smash hit, Inside Out 2.   With $629.5 million in domestic box office receipts (and over a billion worldwide) it has become the highest grossing animated film ever, eclipsing both Incredibles 2 ($608.6 million) and The Lion King (2019 version - $543.6 million).

Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment, with distribution provided by Sony Pictures Home Entertainment, will be moving Inside Out 2 to the physical media arena as a full-spread of purchasing options on Sept. 10.    The ARR works out to 88 days.

The “Helper” community gets a 21-day window to move Blu-ray editions with the Aug. 20 VOD window (that is actually pretty tight for home entertainment these days).

Planned for distribution are Combo Pack editions for both the 4K Ultra HD (with Blu-ray) and Blu-ray (with DVD) formats, plus a stand-alone DVD selection.

Bonus features include five deleted scenes and two bonus productions — “New Emotions” (a making-of documentary) and “Unlocking the Vault” (production discussion).
