All Beca (Anna Kendrick
— as Jessica in The Twilight Saga series, Up in
the Air, 50/50, ParaNorman, End of Watch) wanted was
to be a regular freshman at her new college.
Instead, this aspiring DJ is somehow wrangled
into Barden University’s all-girls a-cappella singing group … and, worse, finds
herself responsible for turning things around for this collection of bizarre
young women.
In Pitch Perfect, Kendrick
joins Anna Camp (The Help), Brittany Snow (Hairspray) and Rebel Wilson (Bridesmaids,
Bachelorette)
as a collection of players in the cutthroat world of college a-cappella (who
knew?), who have to change their tunes if they’re going to be the best at what
they do (make the rest of us laugh being a part of that).
