Universal Studiios Home Entertainment Tabs Sept. 22 For The Release Of DVD And Blu-ray/DVD Combo Pack Editions Of Director Elizabeth Banks’ Pitch Perfect 2

Summer blockbusters don’t all have to be loud and CGI-enthused — it’s called counter-programming — and that’s exactly what Universal Studios Home Entertainment has with actor-turned producer/director Elizabeth Banks’ Pitch Perfect 2.  

With $183.4 million (and still counting), this musical comedy is not just a sequel, but the second leg in what is clearly a franchise series (summer of 2017 for round three).   

Sept. 22 is the street date that Universal has assigned for DVD and Blu-ray/DVD Combo Pack editions of Pitch Perfect 2.   The ARR is 130 days.

Bonus goodies include commentary from Elizabeth Banks and co-producers Paul Brooks and Max Handelman, extended music performance sequences, a gag reel, deleted and alternate scenes and the featurette titled “The Bellas are Back.”

Exclusive to the Blu-ray SKU are a dozen additional featurettes, including one titled “An Aca-Love Story: Bumper and Fat Amy.”
