Kino Lorber Taps Apr. 24 As The Street Date For The Blu-ray Debut Of Director William Cameron Menzies’ 1953 Chiller The Maze

DVD & Blu-ray Release Report, Ralph Tribbey
Castle Craven in Scotland has a secret … a generational secret that will at last be revealed in the closing minutes of director William Cameron Menzies’ summer of 1953 film adaptation of writer Maurice Sandoz's 1945 horror tale, The Maze.  That secret will not be revealed here, but the McTeam’s have guarded it for nearly 100 years!

After nearly a year of teasing the arrival of The Maze 3D, starring Richard Carlson and Veronica Hurst, we can now report that Kino Lorber will be releasing a 4K restoration (from the original 35mm left and right archival elements) on Apr. 24!

This gothic chiller arrives with commentary from film historian Tom Weaver (author of “Poverty Row Horrors!” and “Monsters, Mutants and Heavenly Creatures,” etc.) and a video session with actress Veronica Hurst.
