Retailers Jump The Gun On 20th Century-Fox Home Entertainment's Breakthrought With July 16 Order Taking

DVD & Blu-ray Release Report, Ralph Tribbey
Amazon.com says director Roxanne Dawson’s family-faith film adaptation of Joyce Smith’s 2017 book, “The Impossible: The Miraculous Story of a Mother's Faith and Her Child's Resurrection” — which was shortened for theatrical release to simply Breakthrough — will be available as a three-SKU product offering on July 16.

Ingram’s videoeta.com website confirms this, as does Best Buy.   20th Century-Fox Home Entertainment, now under the purview of Disney, has not yet produced a formal press announcement.

The ARR for that date comes in a quick-to-market 88 days and box office receipts are right at $40 million.

The SKU configuration features Combo Packs for both 4K Ultra HD (with Blu-ray) and Blu-ray (with DVD), plus a stand-alone DVD edition.

As to bonus features, without a formal press announcement and no coverage from any of the retailers taking pre-orders, it is anyone’s guess.
