John Breaker (Neal McDonough) and Virgil St. Denis (Casper Van Dien) are brothers in arms on the side of the Union, but a battlefield incident (not to be revealed here) rips this apart.   Following the war they find themselves on opposite sides and Breaker and his son Cal (Steven R. McQueen) are law enforcement officers, while Virgil is now the notorious Saint, the leader of a ruthless gang.

Brother against brother, with the wild card being a band of vigilantes who are determined to destroy the Saint, law or no law.
