Bayview Entertainment has tabbed Feb. 22 for the DVD debut of writer/director David Axe’s mixed-genre film treat, Bae Wolf, starring Jennifer Hill (also starring in Axe’s House Monster) and the legendary Beowulf, who must find the courage in Sixth Century Denmark to defeat the monster known as Grendel.
When we say “mixed-genre” it means that filmmaker David Axe has taken a few liberties with the epic Old English poem … action, comedy and Hill as a female version of the iconic hero.
Shot on location in South Carolina (in and around the Trenton area — about 60 miles west of Columbia … near the Georgia/South Carolina border), Axe was able to find a medieval castle to double as the legendary Heorot of Danish lore.
The telling of the tale is neither dry nor stale, but filled with fun, monsters (Grendel), gorgeous women, lots of action and a twist-ending. Who could ask for more!!
