Vinegar Syndrome Has A Six-Strong 4K Ultra HD Slate Of Product Offerings Ready To Roll On Apr. 26

You would be hard-pressed to name any 4K Ultra HD release announcement — from any source, studio on down — to have six SKUs, containing seven films, all set for delivery on the same date.

This new 4K blitz from Vinegar Syndrome on Apr. 26 matches Sony Pictures initial six-strong introduction of the format back in February of 2016, 20th Century Fox’s had a ten-title launch the following week … and Universal has had a couple of big catalog dumps since, but this is a first title blitz of this magnitude for an independent.

And counted among the six-SKU promotion is the first adult film from a mainline distributor, Peekarama Presents: SexWorld, which was director     Anthony Spinelli’s 1978 inspired take on the 1973 sci-fi hit Westworld.

This is a new 4K film restoration from the original 35mm camera negatives (yes, back in the “golden age” of adult-filmmaking they used 35mm film) and it will be released as a 4K Ultra HD/Blu-ray Combo Pack with a bonus soundtrack CD.

Starring Annette Haven, Sharon Thorpe, Desiree West, Kay Parker, John Leslie and more, who all are customers on a chartered bus heading to Sex World, where the guests of this unique resort can enjoy their wildest fantasies.

Bonus goodies include an “R-rated” cut of the film and a trio of featurettes — “The Birth of a Legend,” “The Funny Man” and “A Visual Person.”

Also counted among the Apr. 26 4K Ultra HD releases from Vinegar Syndrome are both Scanner Cop and Scanner Cop II (both as Combo Packs), writer/director Joe Giannone’s 1981 horror gem, Madman (with commentary, documentary filmmaker Victor Bonacore’s The Legend Still Lives: 30 Years of Madman and more), the double feature of Schizoid and X-Ray and Peekarama Presents: Dracula Sucks.

Quite impressive, Apr. 26 can’t come soon enough!!
