Paramount Home Entertainment's Devotion Arrives On Feb. 28

DVD & Blu-ray Release Report, Ralph Tribbey

Paramount Home Entertainment has selected Feb. 28 as the roll-out date for a full spread of home entertainment packaged media purchasing options for director J.D. Dillard’s film adaptation of Adam Makos’ 2015 best-seller, “Devotion: An Epic Story of Heroism, Friendship and Sacrifice,” which was shortened for its theatrical release to simply, Devotion.

The ARR comes in at 95 days and domestic box office receipts currently stand at $20.5 million.

Planned for release are stand-alone editions for the DVD, Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD formats.

Devotion is a biopic based on the lives and Naval combat experiences of Lt. Tom Hudner (Glen Powell — Top Gun: Maverick, Hidden Figures, The Bad Guys) and Ensign Jesse Brown (Jonathan Majors — Jungleland, Captive State … as Atticus in the Lovecraft Country television series), the son of Mississippi sharecropper, who became the first black carrier pilot — Fighter Squadron 32 on the USS Leyte — flying the outdated F4U-4 Corsair during the Korean War.

Bonus features, limited to the 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray SKUs, include two behind-the-scenes featurettes — “The Aviation of a Forgotten War” and “The Legacy of Jesse Brown.”

All ten episodes from the first season, along with deleted scenes are included here.   And yes, a second season is now in the works!
