Discovery Home Entertainment will be celebrating on Nov. 19 with the 4K Ultra HD debut of director Mel Brooks’ Western masterpiece, Blazing Saddles, starring Gene Wilder, Cleavon Little, Madeline Kahn, Harvey Korman, Slim Pickins and Mel Brooks as Governor Lepetomane (“I didn’t get a harrumph out of that guy!”).

Not only is this classic film one of the greatest screen comedies ever made, but Blazing Saddles is also considered to be one of the finest, most historically accurate Westerns ever produced.   

The raw west; the grandeur of the frontier … from land-grabbing, cattle-rustling, saloon brawling and the story of a lone lawman and his struggle against impossible odds all plays out against the backdrop of the winning of west (indeed, the source of the first “Candy Gram” is revealed and much, much more).  It is all here in auteur filmmaker Mel Brooks’ insightful Blazing Saddles as a glorious 4K Ultra HD release on Nov. 19.
