It seemed like forever, but on Nov. 19 writer/director Takashi Yamazaki’s Godzilla Minus One will be available in the domestic marketplace from Toho International as a full-spread physical media selection of products.

The ARR works out to 354 days (just under one year to make the cycle from theatrical venues to the home entertainment arena) and the domestic box office take came in at an impressive $55.1 million.

Toho International has already released the film in Japan and eager fans have taken advantage by importing 4K Ultra HD copies (in various configurations).

At least Godzilla Minus One is getting a formal release as a 4K Ultra HD/Blu-ray Combo Pack, a double-disc Blu-ray selection or as a stand-alone DVD edition.   This has not been the case for other major films from 2023 — Killers of the Flower Moon, Napoleon and Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour all remain MIA as physical media product offerings.

As to bonus features, Godzilla Minus One will have two viewing options — one featuring the original Japanese language track (with optional English subtitles) and an alternative English-language track.

There’s a behind the scenes featurette titled “Godzilla Minus One: No. 30,” plus three additional featurettes — “A Ray of Hope,” “Worldwide Praise” and “Live and Hope.”
