Zsa Zsa turns Blu — Blu
as in Blu-ray — on Sept. 25! That’s the
Blu-ray release news from Warner Bros. Home Entertainment this past week …
director Edward Bernds’ 1958 sci-fi thriller, Queen of Outer Space,
starring Zsa Zsa Gabor, will be given a Blu-ray launch as the lead title in the
studio’s September film catalog plans.
Queen of Outer Space, a newly remastered film presentation on Blu-ray
for the first time, also features a commentary option from Laurie Mitchell (Queen
Yllana), who is joined by film historian Tom Weaver (“It Came from Horrorwood,”
“The Creature Chronicles: Exploring the Black Lagoon Trilogy,” “Interviews With
B Science Fiction And Horror Movie Makers,” etc.).
Director Franklin J.
Schaffner’s 1973 film release of Papillon, starring Dustin Hoffman
and Steve McQueen heads to Blu-ray on Sept. 18. Bonus features include the featurette titled
“The Magnificent Rebel.”
Both DVD and Blu-ray
editions of director John Milius’ Big Wednesday will surface on Sept.

from Milius and the documentary titled Capturing the Swell.
Also on Blu-ray in
September from the film vaults at Warner Bros. are The Cyclops (Sept. 25), The
