Kit Parker Films has put
together a complete collection of all 17 pre-code theatrical short films from
the Hal Roach Studio which teamed Zasu Pitts with the gorgeous Thelma Todd.
This double-disc set is
titled Thelma Todd & Zasu Pitts: The Hal Roach Collection 1931-33,
it will arrive on Oct. 9 and it features complete film restorations for the
two-reel comedies — racy comedies — from the original camera negatives.
Each of the films,
ranging from the June of 1931 release of Let’s Do Things to the May of 1933
debut of One Track Minds, feature commentaries from film historian Richard
M. Roberts, film scholar and author Randy Skretvedt (“Laurel and Hardy: The
Magic Behind the Movies”), author Brent Walker and Robert Farr.
