Marquee Collection Status For MVD Entertainment Group's Blu-ray Release Of Basic Instinct 2 On Nov. 13

DVD & Blu-ray Release Report, Ralph Tribbey
MVD Entertainment Group has targeted Nov. 13 for a special edition Blu-ray presentation of director Michael Caton-Jones’ 2006 thriller, Basic Instinct 2.

It’s 14 years later and Sharon Stone is back once again as serial killer Catherine Tramell … same sexually charged crimes, but instead of San Francisco she is making the rounds in London!

MVD has not only bestowed Marquee Collection status on Basic Instinct 2, but will be presenting not one, but two cuts of the film — the original R-rated theatrical cut and an unrated extended cut as well (trims likely made to avoid an NC-17 rating).

Bonus goodies include commentary by director Michael Canton-Jones (The Jackal, Memphis Belle, Beyond the Gates, etc.), ten deleted scenes with commentary by director Michael Canton-Jones, an alternate ending and the featurette titled “'Between The Sheets: A Look Inside Basic Instinct 2.”

  1. Confirm the following..

    1. Will it contain the threesome scene between Michael Douglas , Sharon stone and Anne Caillon ??

    2. Are any additional intimate scenes including between Sharon stone and Charolete rampling ?

    3. Is it having office sex scene on the table ?

If not, it's useless to release this version just because it's a Blu-ray...

  2. Sure, Star Wars and Star Trek movies are two of the greatest science fiction classics ever created, but they are based in futuristic realism and not 1950's mystical senses. The first appearance of "Star Trek" as T.V. episodes was great science fiction but the movies that came out in later years were set as futuristic realism out of the true classic science fiction sense. I enjoyed watching "Independence Day" but was excited for "Mars Attacks" which came out shortly after "Independence Day". I was baffled at why "Mars Attacks" wasn't released before "Independence Day" because I knew "Independence Day" was going to be a mega hit. I thought "Mars Attacks" was going to be a mega hit also but it puttered koktale after the release of "Independence Day". I guess maybe the "Mars Attacks" makers thought it would do just fine after "Independence Day" got everyone whooped up into a science fiction fever but that wasn't the case.
