Mill Creek Entertainment's Blu-ray Blitz In February Arrives In Two Waves — Feb. 5 and Feb. 19

It will be a Blu-ray feast for consumers in February as Mill Creek Entertainment has a bonanza of priced-to-own selections arriving in two release waves during the month — Feb. 5 and two weeks later on Feb. 19.   So get your shopping list ready and let’s get to it.

The Feb. 5 group is composed of two double-feature SKUs and a pair of triple-feature Blu-ray product offerings.   Joe Camp’s canine hero, Benji, is featured in three films in a Blu-ray/DVD Combo Pack collection that includes Benji, For the Love of Benji and Benji: Off the Leash  — the package also includes Digital Copy!

The other triple-feature selection from Mill Creek Entertainment on Feb. 5 is titled Queens of Scream, which is also a Blu-ray/DVD Combo Pack, and it includes a trio of genre-fan delights — Vacancy (with Kate Beckinsale), I Know What You Did Last Summer (with Jennifer Love Hewitt and Sarah Michelle Gellar) and When A Stranger Calls (starring Camilla Belle).

The double-features selections being released as Blu-ray/DVD Combo Packs on Feb. 5 are You Got Served and Stomp the Yard and the horror double bill of Hostel and Hostel, Part II … both are priced at just $14.98 each!!

But wait, wait … not done yet with the first wave of Blu-ray collectibles on Feb. 5.   Mill Creek Entertainment will also be releasing director Mike Newell’s Donnie Brasco — starring Al Pacino and Johnny Depp — as a Blu-ray/DVD Combo Pack … the SRP is just $14.98!

Shifting to Feb. 19, we have another round of titles to be featured in Mill Creek Entertainment’s popular Blu-ray promotion featuring Retro VHS packaging.   All are priced at just $14.98 each.   

DVD & Blu-ray Release Report, Ralph TribbeyIncluded in this quartet of Blu-ray product offerings featuring Retro VHS packaging are director Matthew Robbins’ 1985 film release of The Legend of Billie Jean, starring Helen Slater and Christian Slater; the “Blues Brothers” — John Belushi and Dan Aykroyd — are back together in director John G. Avildsen’s 1981 comedy, Neighbors; Tanya Roberts is queen of the jungle in director John Guillermin’s 1984 action adventure, Sheena, and folk/country singing legends Willie Nelson and Kris Kristofferson make screen magic in director Alan Rudolph’s 1984 film release of Songwriter.

Also on the price-to-collect Blu-ray release slate for delivery on Feb. 19 are director Peter Berg’s action comedy, The Rundown, featuring Dwayne Johnson, Christopher Walken, Seann William Scott and Rosario Dawson; Pamela Anderson stars in director David Hogan’s futuristic thriller, Barb Wire, and rounding out the group is the 10-disc presentation of Glenn Close and Rose Byrne starring in Damages: The Complete Series on Blu-ray (also available on the same date as a DVD collection).
