Target says director Adam Robitel’s Escape
Room is streeting on Apr. 23 as both DVD and
Blu-ray/DVD Combo Pack product offerings.
Walmart and Best Buy agree. So
does Ingram’s videoeta.com web site, but in took the PR department over at Sony
Pictures Home Entertainment until Monday, Mar. 11 to confirm what all of the
retailers were already telling the public.
The film pulled in $56.3 million in box office
receipts, so you’d figure that a little effort in promoting its arrival in the
home entertainment marketplace would be a routine matter. However, retailers apparently got tired of
waiting for an official press announcement and took matters into their own
hands.
For the record, the ARR is 109 days …
Bonus goodies include both an alternate ending and
an alternate opening, deleted scenes and a quartet of featurettes — “Games,
Set, Match,” “The Lone Survivors,” “Would You Ever, Part 1” and “Would Your
Ever, Part 2.”
