DVD & Blu-ray Release Report, Ralph Tribbey
20th Century-Fox Home Entertainment has selected Apr. 16 as the home entertainment launch date for writer/director Joe Cornish’s modern day Arthurian adventure, The Kid Who Would be King.

The ARR is a swift-to-market 81 and box office receipts came in somewhat light at just $16.7 million … home entertainment to the rescue.   That will come in the form of a three-SKU array of products — DVD stand alone edition and two Combo Pack selections (4K Ultra HD with Blu-ray and Blu-ray with DVD).

Bonus features include deleted scenes, the Lay Lay music video titled “Be the King,” the four-part “Merlin’s Magic” making-of featurette and three addition production featurettes — “Origins of a King,” “Young Knights” and “Hair, Makeup & Costume Tests.”
