DVD & Blu-ray Release Report, Ralph Tribbey
Paramount Home Media has tabbed Jan. 28 as the home entertainment packaged media rollout date for director Tim Miller’s Terminator: Dark Fate, reuniting Linda Hamilton with Arnold Schwarzenegger.

That end-of-January street date yields a quick-to-market 88 days.   Domestic box office receipts currently stand at $62.1 million.

This will be a three-SKU array of packaged media product choices — Combo Pack editions for both the 4K Ultra HD (with Blu-ray) and Blu-ray (with DVD) formats, plus a stand-alone DVD edition.

The honored timeline of protecting John Connor (variously played over the years by Edward Furlong, Nick Stahl, Christian Bale and Jason Clarke, among others, at various times in the character’s life) is stood on its head in the opening minutes of Terminator: Dark Fate as the machine assassin from the future finally succeeds ... it is a T-800!!

Together with Sarah Connor (a return to the character by Linda Hamilton) and a remorseful T-800 (Arnold Schwarzenegger), the new challenge is met … an open ending at least sets the stage for future Terminator movies.

Bonus goodies include deleted and extended scenes and four production featurettes — “A Legend Reforged,” “World Builders,” “Dam Busters: The Final Showdown” and “VFX Breakdown: The Dragonfly.”
