Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has selected Feb. 4
for the release of a three-SKU helping of director Mike Flanagan’s film
adaptation of the Stephen King’s 2013 novel, Doctor
Sleep, a sequel to the The
Shining.
The ARR is a quick-to-market 88 days and box office
revenues came in at $31.4 million.
Planned for distribution are Combo Pack editions for
both the 4K Ultra HD (with Blu-ray) and Blu-ray (with DVD) formats, plus a
stand-alone DVD presentation.
The big bonus nugget here is a director’s cut of the
film, which clocks in at 152 minutes.
Other bonus goodies, which are limited to the Combo
Packs, are three featurettes — “Return to the Overlook,” “The Making of Doctor
Sleep: A New Vision” and “From Shining to Sleep.”
