Universal Pictures Home Entertainment has tabbed
Apr. 7 as the street date for a three-SKU helping of writer/director Stephen
Gaghan’s Dolittle, a
re-imagining of writer Hugh Lofting’s famous Doctor Dolittle character of the
1920s. Robert Downey Jr. stars as the
gifted veterinarian who can “talk to the animals.”
The ARR works out to just 81 days and the domestic
box office haul currently stands at $63.8 million.
In addition to a stand-alone DVD product offering,
there will be Combo Pack buying choices for both the 4K Ultra HD (with Blu-ray)
and Blu-ray (with DVD) formats.
As to bonus goodies, there are six featurettes
common to all release editions — “Talk to the Animals,” “Robert Downey Jr. and
Harry: Mentor and Mentee,” “Becoming the Good Doctor,” “Antonio Banderas:
Pirate King,” “The Wicked Dr. Mudfly” and “A Most Unusual House.”
