Cleopatra Entertainment, with sales and distribution
support provided by MVD Entertainment Group, looks to Aug. 11 for the DVD debut
of writer/director Christian Neuman’s gothic horror tale, Skin
Walker.
The film, stars Udo Kier as the astranged father of Regine
(Amber Anderson — Emma., White Lie, In Darkness), an
attractive young woman who lives in constant of fear, made all the worse by an
abusive relationship that she currently finds herself in.
The tipping point is reached when her grandmother
dies a violent death and Regine returns home to investigate. She returns home to a creepy old mansion,
which genre fans will immediately recognize as the trappings for a good old
fashion “haunted house” chiller.
Through a series of flashbacks, which are designed
to give us the backstory of why the family, and especially Regine, seem to be
so dysfunctional, we learn that she had a pretty mess-up childhood, complete
with a born-at-home brother by the name Isaac.
He may or may not be dead (don’t count on him being
dead, but we won’t spoil the McGuffin) … and if still alive, is her brother
responsible for the death of dear old granny?
