Mill Creek Entertainment Readies Royal Pains: The Complete Series For Release On DVD On Sept. 28 • Battlefield Earth Blu-ray Debut On Sept. 15

DVD & Blu-ray Release Report, Ralph Tribbey
Mill Creek Entertainment has done it again.   Mark Sept. 22 on your viewing calendar for the priced-to-collection DVD presentation of Royal Pains: The Complete Series — first time available as a complete collection.

All 104 episodes starring Mark Feuerstein (What Women Want, In Your Eyes, etc.) as Dr. Hank Lawson, a disgraced emergency room doctor (who tried to do the right thing) who has been blackballed as the result of a tragic death in the OR.

On a routine get-a-way weekend to The Hamptons with his brother, Evan (Paulo Costanzo — Designated Survivor, Joey), Dr. Lawson discovers a whole new world of medicine.   And there beings eight full seasons of him dealing with oddball patients — the rich and famous (and not so famous) as a “concierge doctor.”   He even gets an assistant — out of the blue — by the name of Divya Katdare (Reshma Shetty — Pure Genius), who helps him navigate the world of The Hamptons.

This is the first time that Royal Pains has been available on DVD as a complete collection … and it comes complete with Digital Copy!!

DVD & Blu-ray Release Report, Ralph TribbeyAlso making a debut in September from Mill Creek Entertainment is director Roger Christian’s 2000 film adaptation of L. Ron Hubbard’s 1982 sci-fi novel Battlefield Earth.    Sept. 15 marks its Blu-ray debut.

It is the year 3000 and Earth has been laid waste by The Psychlos, a super-sized race of alien invaders.   One human, Jonnie Goodboy Tyler (Barry Pepper — Saving Private Ryan, The Green Mile, Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials, etc.) decides to fight back, but he is very quickly captured by The Psychlos and becomes a prisoner of the outcast Terl (John Travolta).

It’s not all bad as Terl finds the puny human to be useful … and in that, 1,000 years of rule by The Psychlos comes tumbling down as Jonnie quickly learns the weaknesses of his captors.

Battlefield Earth is not only making its Blu-ray debut on Sept. 15, but it comes complete with Digital Copy as a bonus.
