Paramount Home Media Preps DVD Release Of Are You Afraid Of The Dark? Mini-Series On Aug. 11

Paramount Home Media will be teaming up with Nickelodeon for the DVD debut on Aug. 11 of director Dean Israelite’s three-part mini-series marking the return of “The Midnight Society” and their ghostly tales in Are You Afraid of the Dark?

All new members of “The Midnight Society” — Rachel (Lyliana Wray), Gavin (Sam Ashe Arnold), Akiko (Miya Cech), Graham (Jeremy Taylor) and Louise (Tamara Smart — decide to tell a tale of ghostly fun about the mysterious Carnival of Doom and the sinister Mr. Tophat who runs the show.   It is all just for fun, except the story takes on a life of its own the members of “The Midnight Society” find themselves living in the story itself!!!

For the younger ones — those who might get nightmares from this Are You Afraid of the Dark? — no problem, Paramount Home Media and Nickelodeon have the next installment in the adventures of Shimmer and Shine ready for fans on Aug. 4 with the DVD release of Shimmer and Shine: Glitter Magic!

Seven fun-filled adventures featuring twin sisters Shimmer and Shine, who meet the Glitter Genie, learn some Glitter Magic and have fun with the Glitter Pets … and more!

Also added to the DVD release calendar this past week is the Aug. 18 arrival of Blue Bloods: The Tenth Season, featuring all 19 episodes (the final three in the production hopper had to be scrubbed as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic) in a four-disc set.
