Cleopatra Entertainment Sets Sept. 7 As The DVD Debut Date For Writer/Director Eric Mittleman's Escape From Area 51

DVD & Blu-ray Release Report, Ralph Tribbey

Cleopatra Entertainment, with sales and distribution expertise provided by MVD Entertainment Group, has zeroed-in on Sept. 7 for the release of both DVD and Blu-ray editions of writer/director Eric Mittleman’s Escape from Area 51, starring Donna D’Errico (as Donna Marco on Baywatch) as Sheera, the sexiest alien since Natasha Henstridge’s Sil in Species, to roam free on planet Earth.

For years rumors have circulated that Area 51 — out there in the Nevada desert — is the location where our government has been keeping alien secrets.   As our story begins, a trio of knuckleheads decide to join in an online event, “The Area 51 Raid,’ and storm the place, simply overwhelming security by sheer numbers.

It’s a good plan, but when Molly (Chloe Amen in her film debut), Ernest (Caleb Thomas — Zoombies 2, Candy Corn, Battlefield 2025) and Jason (Zeke Jones) arrive, they discover that they are pretty much the “sheer numbers” and that’s it.   Ah, what the heck, they are at the fabled Area 51 secret base so why not go for it!!

Instead of breaking in, their nuisance incursion has allowed Dr. Jill Landress’ (Veronica Farren — Amityville Vampire) prized alien captee to escape … and in doing so, her escape has set off intergalactic bells and whistles that has caught the attention of Sheera’s arch enemy, Sklarr (Chris Browning — Terminator Salvation, Let Me In … and Preston Borders on the Bosch television series).  Now our geek trio has the confirmation they’ve always sought, aliens are real and their new best-buddy is Sheera, in her “space” attire that leaves little to the imagination!

Escape from Area 51 is great fun as Molly, Ernest and Jason find themselves in harm’s way as Sklarr will stop at nothing to capture Sheera, but that’s not the only threat as Landress wants her pet back!!
