Stupid is as stupid does which is exactly what happened with the wildly popular Ray Donovan Showtime series. In February of 2020, the series was canceled without warning, leaving all of the cliffhangers from the show’s seventh season unresolved.
The fan backlash was swift and unrelenting … a compromise was worked-out, David Hollander and Live Schreiber would be allowed to return and tie-up loose ends. Hence: Ray Donovan: The Movie.
In other release news from Paramount Home Entertainment this past week, director Jeff Tremaine’s Jackass Forever will be making the transition from theatrical venues to the home entertainment arena on Apr. 19 as both Blu-ray and DVD product offerings.
The ARR is 74 days and box office receipts currently stand at $56.3 million.
Bonus features, which are limited to the Blu-ray edition, include an addition 40-minutes worth of “Jackass” stunts that did not make the final theatrical cut … 16 in all!!
