Director Ric Roman Waugh’s tale of greed and corruption, National Champions, will be heading home, courtesy of Universal Pictures Home Entertainment, on Mar. 8 as a two-SKU product-offering.
This film with no heroes — Division One football players with full-ride scholarships wanting a piece of the action are pitted against the colleges, universities and the NCAA who have turned college football into a money machine — tanked at the box office with just $456,000 in ticket sales. The ARR works out to 88 days.
Planned for release are Blu-ray and DVD editions. Bonus features include a trio of featurettes — “Behind the Music,” “The Game” and “Sports Trivia.”
