Mill Creek Entertainment Readies The DVD Delivery Of Director Marco Deufemia's Country Roads Christmas For Release On Nov. 08

DVD & Blu-ray Release Report, Ralph Tribbey

Mill Creek Entertainment will be joining forces with Imagicomm Entertainment on Nov. 8 for the DVD debut of director Marco Deufemia’s Dove Family-Award-winning release of Country Roads Christmas.

Skye Anderson (Lanie McAuley — How it Ends, Christmas Comes Twice, Write Before Christmas … and as Emma Rogers on the Chesapeake Shores television series) is an up-and-coming singer in Nashville, who suddenly finds herself out of work.   The music business can be like that.

Enter Ryan (Bo Yokely — After the Storm, Into the Forest, Switched Before Birth), who has one of those meet-cute moments during a celebrate-Christmas event at one of the local cafés.   It’s actually something of an ambush as he introduces himself to Skye … it seems he has a job offer for her and she is not going to like it!!

For years she has been estranged from her Country Music superstar father, Harris Anderson (Baily Chase — as Branch Connally on the Longmire series, plus such films as Shoelaces for Christmas, Dark Metropolis, Far More, etc.), who abandoned her as young girl to pursue his singing career (Skye’s mother is played by none other than Lauren Holly).   It turns out that the not-so-innocent Ryan is actually an executive at her father’s recording label and the job offer is for Skye to become her father’s road manager.

Her initial reaction to such an offer is pretty much along the lines of “when Hell freezes over,” but on second thought it might be something worth looking into … after all, he walked away over Christmas and as the seasons and years have drifted by it is once again the Christmas season, maybe it is time to learn the truth.

Skye gets way, way more than she bargained for in accepting the offer.   Truths will be revealed, unexpected reunions and more.   Country Roads Christmas on Nov. 8 on DVD to discover the twists, turns and surprise ending.
