The ARR comes in at 88 days and domestic ticket sales for this based-on-history story of the elite all-female Ahosi army of the West African “kingdom” of Dahomy (present-day Benin) currently stands at $62.8 million.
Purchasing options include stand-alone DVD and Blu-ray editions, plus a 4K Ultra HD/Blu-ray Combo Pack SKU.
Bonus features common to all three release configurations are commentary from director Gina Prince-Bythewood (The Old Guard, The Secret Life of Bees, Love and Basketball), audition footage of Thuso Mbedu and two featurettes — “Representation Matters” and “Storytellers.”
Exclusive to the Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD/Blu-ray Combo Pack releases are two additional featurettes — “Woman/Warrior” and “A Caterpillar’s Destruction: Viola Davis on Set.”
