Sunrise Preps Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny Collection 2 And Gundam Build Divers Re:RISE For Blu-ray Release On Nov. 08

DVD & Blu-ray Release Report, Ralph Tribbey

Bayview Entertainment will be teaming up with Sunrise, Inc. for the delivery of two new Blu-ray anime sets on Nov. 8.

First up is the five-disc, 25-episode collection from anime director Mitsuo Fukuda, Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny Collection 2.

The war between the Earth Alliance and PLANT, which was kicked off with the theft of three prototype mobile suits being constructed for ZAFT, has gotten very complicated.   It seems that Cagalli Yula Athha finds herself at odds with her fiancé, Yuna Roma Seiran, who has assumed leadership of Orb … never-ending death and destruction seems inevitable.

But there’s a twist, Kira Yamato takes matters into his own hand and revives the Freedom Gundam … his mission, stop the fighting and he is willing to take on both sides in the conflict.   This move puts Arhrun Zala in a tight spot as PLANT chairman, Durandal, decides that the Freedom Gundam must be destroyed — pitting former friends against each other!!

Bonus features include the director's concept music videos, textless openings and closing and Gundam SEED Character Theater Shorts.  In Japanese with English subtitles or an English-dubbed viewing option.

Also heading home on Blu-ray from Sunrise, Inc. on Nov. 8 is anime director Shinya Watada’s Gundam Build Divers Re:RISE, a 26-episode, four-disc collection.

We pick up the gaming action two years after the competition with Force “Build Divers” and the Second Coalition of Volunteers over the EL-Diver.  The arena, Gunpla Battle Nexus Online, or simply GBN, has been upgraded in the meantime and is ready for the next round of Diver fantasy action.

As events unfold, four unlikely Divers will come together to form a Build Divers team and take on all comers in the GBN.

Bonus features include the “Gundam Build Divers Battlogue” and clean openings and closings.  In Japanese with English subtitles or an English-dubbed viewing option.
