Bayview Entertainment announced this past week that writer/director Joshua Nelson’s award-winning vampire tale, The Things We Cannot Change, will be making its Blu-ray debut on Feb. 28.
Who knew that modern day vampires have a self-help group to offer support in dealing with the trials and tribulations of feeding their insatiable hunger. This is exactly what vampire and psychiatrist Dr. Abraham (Richard Rampolla) is running a support group for vampires.
Through a series of cleverly-crafted vignettes we meet the various members of the group and how they struggle-with; cope-with their addiction. Typical suburban characters … people that you might pass on the street and take no notice of.
There is one, however, Veronica (Laura Lemire — What’s Bothering You?, Into the Outbreak), who is having nothing to do with this self-pity, “I am so sorry for killing to eat” stuff that reverberates throughout the sessions. Ordinary humans are like a buffet to her … yummy, let’s party!
She goes so wound-up over the thrill of the kill that she is banished from the group, which sets her on a mission. Get rid of Dr. Abraham and those who are beyond “redemption” and mold the group in her image … let the blood wars begin!!
