Bayview Entertainment announced this past week that the company has entered into an exclusive sales and distribution agreement with Summer Hill Films.
This news comes hot on the heels of the recent acquisition of Passion River Films and the previously announced acquisitions of genre-themed producers Mutiny Pictures and VIPCO.
The Mutiny Pictures and VIPCO libraries have already paid huge dividends on the Blu-ray release front for Bayview Entertainment and the first of the Passion River releases, Dara Sanandaji’s Breaking the Silence, was set for delivery on DVD this coming May 30 only last week.
We can expect to see the Summer Hill Films library begin to filter into the Bayview Entertainment release mix in the coming weeks. To that point, expectations are running high that writer/director Jim Schneider’s family-themed adventure, Jack and the Treehouse, starring newcomer Eamonn McElfresh in his film debut, will be among the first of many films to get firm release dates.
Other films in the mix from Summer Hill Films are writer/director Ted Pfeifer’s mystery thriller, Devil’s Lake, the writing and directing team of Nils Nilsson and Zach Sullivan’s Howlin’ Refrain and filmmaker Nishi Chawla’s The Strange Case of Normalcy.
Stay tuned … it is going to be very busy!
