Paramount Home Entertainment has elected to move the writing and directing team of John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein’s tongue-in-cheek action/adventure hit, Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves, quickly to the home entertainment packed media marketplace on May 30 as a three-SKU array of product offerings.
The ARR is lightning-quick at just 60 days. Domestic box receipts currently stand at a solid $82.3 million.
Starring Chris Pine and Michelle Rodriguez, this lavish medieval tale will be available as stand-alone DVD, Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD SKUs (interesting that no Combo Packs are in the mix).
Bonus treasures include deleted and extended scenes, a gag reel and a half-dozen production featurettes — “From Dice to Dragons: Honoring the Lore,” “Rogues’ Gallery: The Heroes of Dungeons & Dragons,” “Fantastic Foes,” “The Bestiary,” “Forging the Forgotten Realms” and “Broadswords, Battle-axes & Badass Brawls.”
In other release news this past week from Paramount Home Entertainment, director Peter Weir’s mixed-genre gem, The Truman Show, starring Jim Carrey as a star TV attraction in a surreal world, will be celebrating its 25th Anniversary on July 4 as a newly-minted 4K Ultra HD/Blu-ray Combo Pack.
Bonus treats include deleted scenes, the two-part documentary How’s It Going to End?, and the featurette titled Faux Finishing.
